ELITE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES ONE OF THE MOST
NIGHTMARISH AND FRIGHTENING CULT HORROR
FILMS OF RECENT YEARS

"HORROR"
Available First Quarter 2003

Scarborough, ME -- It's been called "A Living Nightmare in Hell Caught on Film" (Cult Cuts Magazine) and "...an all-out assault on the senses..." (Firelight Shocks). These words speak of Dante Tomaselli's "Horror", recipient of the New York City Horror Film Festival Award for Best Cinematography, and available on DVD from Elite Entertainment in the first quarter of 2003.

"Dante Tomaselli has quickly become a master of the horror film genre, and has already established a strong core of cult fans," said Vini Bancalari, President, Elite Entertainment. "We're excited to be working with Dante, and to have the opportunity to release one of the more recent horror films to already be considered a classic."

"I have a strong admiration for Elite's background in horror movies, as Vini is a true horror fan with a deep passion," said Tomaselli. "I was blown away with Elite's superior picture and sound presentation on two of my all-time favorite films, Night of the Living Dead and The Evil Dead, and I'm looking forward to the same integrity of quality put into Horror."

"Horror" merges two disturbing storylines into a visually arresting chiller. At the onset, a group of teens escapes from a drug rehab center, heading toward a supposed promise of salvation at the house of a psychopathic reverend. Once there, a bizarre and disturbing series of events unfold as the teens discover that the reverend and his wife have enslaved their daughter, through enforced drug addiction and psychic brainwashing. In this nightmarish universe, nothing is what it seems, setting up an ambiguous, darkly nihilistic-- yet intriguing--conclusion.

The film was written and directed by Tomaselli. The DVD will feature a variety of extras, including an audio commentary by Tomaselli; behind-the-scenes footage; still gallery; and an anamorphic widescreen transfer.

Elite Entertainment was founded in 1993. The company is currently one of the leaders in the restoration and distribution of horror, science fiction and cult DVD titles, including "Night of the Living Dead," "Evil Dead," "Tower of Evil" and "I Spit On Your Grave." Recent titles include "Popcorn;" a triple feature on the Masterworks of the German Horror Cinema, including the original silent films "Nosferatu," "Der Golem" and "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari;" the "Drive-In Discs" series, and the popular Millennium Edition series, including "Night of the Living Dead," "Re-Animator" and "I Spit On Your Grave."
